"Hi,
I was so skeptical about putting in such a small amount of the liquid you sent us into the dam, but holy cow in 4 weeks it’s the best looking dam in our street. It’s astounding the transformation, we just love it.
You guys are geniuses and we thank you so much for the awesome product
Kind regards, Liz"

We contacted AlgaEnviro due to concerns with the health of our two small dams. There was minimal apparent water borne life visible and both the wild ducks and our dog that once swam in the dams, no longer did so. My wife had read about Diatomix in the local newspaper and we purchased their product, using it pretty much according to AlgaEnviro’s directions. After a month or so, water borne life and water clarity began improving and now several months later the dam water is very clear, water borne life abounds and both the dog and ducks are back swimming in the dams.

Our pond is fed by runoff, mainly from paddocks, and is frequented by wild life such as ducks. Consequently, we have struggled with the effects of algal growth and blooms. Since the volume of water ranges up to 500㎥ and the existence of sensitive wild life such as eels preclude the use of chemical solutions or the use of barley grasses/extracts, we sought a means of keeping the pond algae free. We have achieved some limited success by building swales and planting gross feeding plants. When we learned of Diatomix, we trialled the product and found the effect to be better than we imagined. Within months, the water has cleared substantially and the quality is significantly improved.

Our Council Park Pond is going really well. In summary, the Azolla disappeared within a week or two (except on the bank above the waterline. I don’t know if I am seeing things because I want too, but there seems an abundance of life in the water, I have observed carp, turtles, small fish in schools (about 4cm long) and lots of water insects. Local kids fishing say there are goldfish and redfin too.

The water quality in our dam had been gradually getting poorer and poorer, and it became infested with an assortment of choking weeds including azolla and string algae. Then to top it off, native water lilies took over the entire surface. Fish were dying from lack of oxygen and it was simply a horrible mess. We didn’t know where to turn, but knew the first step was to try and clear the surface. We engaged “The Dam Doctor” and he did a great job of removing the water lilies and azolla, but that was only part of the problem. Within a week or two, the whole dam turned green with a massive algae bloom. We had no idea how to treat this, but as luck would have it, we read an article in the local newspaper about AlgaEnviro and gave them a call. They explained how Diatomix could solve the problem. We followed the program they gave us and started dosing three times per week. After about 3-4 weeks we could start to see quite an improvement, and it just continued to get better and better. We still had the occasional flare up but once the dam had stabilised, we reduced our doses to twice weekly and also reduced the quantity. The fish and turtles returned, and lots more birds. The water clarity is amazing and our dam is healthy again. We realise that we need to continue using Diatomix regularly to keep the balance right and keep the algae at bay. It really is a brilliant product and we cannot recommend it highly enough. AlgaEnviro has been so supportive from the outset and are always ready to assist in any way they can. We are extremely grateful.

Just a quick note to advise my thanks for AlgaEnviro’s support this summer. The result of dosing our pond with Diatomix has seen an immediate and beneficial effect on our ponds. Water quality and pond aquatic life has improved heaps with stringy algae presence to a minimum during the summer. It is also a great plus Diatomix is an environmentally friendly product.
