Diatomix IV is an ecosystem-based algae treatment designed to support beneficial biological processes associated with nutrient cycling and water-quality improvement.

Rather than acting as a conventional algaecide, Diatomix IV provides reactive silica together with selected micronutrients to support diatom-associated and other beneficial biological processes. The objective is to improve biological resource utilisation and nutrient cycling, helping create conditions that are less favourable to persistent dominance by nuisance algae and cyanobacteria.

An Integrated Formulation

Diatomix IV combines the micronutrient components of Diatomix with a source of reactive silica in a single formulation.

Silica is an essential resource for diatoms and can become limiting in aquatic systems where nitrogen and phosphorus remain readily available. Providing reactive silica together with selected micronutrients helps support the biological processes associated with diatom growth and nutrient utilisation.
