Diatomix IV 5 Litre is the larger-volume format of Diatomix IV, developed for ponds, dams, reservoirs and other managed waterbodies where greater treatment quantities are required.
Diatomix IV is an ecosystem-based algae treatment designed to support beneficial biological processes associated with nutrient cycling and water-quality improvement. Rather than acting as a conventional algaecide, the formulation provides reactive silica together with selected micronutrients to support diatom-associated and other beneficial biological processes. The objective is to improve biological resource utilisation and nutrient cycling, helping create conditions that are less favourable to persistent dominance by nuisance algae and cyanobacteria.
An Integrated Formulation
Diatomix IV combines the micronutrient components of Diatomix with a source of reactive silica in a single formulation. Silica is an essential resource for diatoms and can become limiting in aquatic systems where nitrogen and phosphorus remain readily available.
The integrated formulation makes Diatomix IV particularly useful where both micronutrient availability and reactive silica availability need to be addressed as part of the treatment programme.
Where is the 5 Litre Size Used?
