How It Works

Diatomix Garden Pond contains bioavailable silica and essential micronutrients that stimulate diatom growth — microscopic algae that are beneficial to pond ecosystems.

These diatoms:

• Absorb nitrogen and phosphorus (nutrient “fuel”)
• Improve water clarity
• Support oxygen production
• Become natural food for zooplankton and small aquatic life

Unlike algaecides that kill algae, Diatomix helps nature keep undesirable algae and waterweeds from dominating in the first place.

How to Use

We would advise you to dose your pond starting with approx. 20 mL per week and reduce this amount to 10 – 15 mL as results begin to show, you should find the suitable maintenance dose which may vary from time to time depending on weather conditions and the amount of nutrients (leaves, weeds, fertilizer run off or fish food) entering your pond.

Apply three times per week until improvements are seen.  This does mean your doses are quite small.  7 mL three times per week = 21 mL.

Stir or shake bottle before use.
